Where Operational Architecture Meets Human-Centered Leadership.
I'm Stephanie Hartline, founder of Built With Soul.
For more than a decade, I worked across healthcare operations, organizational leadership, training and development, and systems implementation, supporting both corporate and franchise healthcare environments.
My career began in clinic operations, where I experienced firsthand the everyday realities of delivering care. Over time, my responsibilities expanded into organizational training, operational standardization, leadership development, and large-scale technology implementations across a national urgent care network.
I've helped develop operational frameworks, build training programs, create comprehensive manuals and resources, and support the implementation of systems used across hundreds of healthcare locations.
But somewhere along the way, I became increasingly interested in something beyond the processes and technology themselves.
Why do some organizations create environments where people thrive, while others make even the simplest responsibilities unnecessarily difficult?
And perhaps more importantly, why do we continue trying to solve recurring operational problems without examining the conditions that keep producing them?
Those questions have shaped much of my work.
After 11 years with American Family Care, I stepped away from traditional employment in May 2025 to explore them more deeply.
What initially began as an opportunity to reflect and reset evolved into something much larger.
I spent that time researching, writing, and developing frameworks that connect organizational structure, leadership, culture, human behavior, accountability, and operational performance.
That work became Built With Soul.
Why I Built With Soul
I've always believed that the health of an organization influences its ability to care for the health of others.
We can implement new technology, introduce better processes, establish performance metrics, and develop ambitious growth strategies. But none of those things operate independently of the people and environments responsible for carrying them out.
When expectations are unclear, accountability is inconsistent, communication breaks down, or people lack the resources and support to do their jobs effectively, the consequences extend far beyond employee satisfaction.
They influence operational performance, organizational sustainability, patient experiences, and ultimately the communities those organizations serve.
Built With Soul brings those interconnected dimensions into focus.
Through organizational alignment diagnostics, healthcare operations consulting, executive advisory, and leadership development, I help organizations examine what's happening beneath the surface of recurring challenges.
My approach combines practical operational experience with a systems-level understanding of how people, processes, leadership, culture, and technology interact.
Because identifying a bottleneck is one thing.
Understanding why it exists, what continues to reinforce it, and what needs to change to prevent it from recurring is something entirely different.
What I Believe
I believe clarity is kindness at scale.
People do their best work when they understand what belongs to them, have the systems and resources to carry it, and are trusted to do so.
I believe accountability and compassion can coexist. That organizational structure should support human capability rather than constrain it. And that sustainable improvement requires more than introducing change.
It requires integrating that change into how an organization actually operates.
Today, my work focuses on helping healthcare organizations, founders, and executive leaders build the operational foundations, leadership practices, and organizational environments necessary for meaningful, sustainable growth.
I'm also developing a book, Built With Soul: How to Get Your Organization Back Into Alignment, exploring these principles through both organizational and personal perspectives.
Ultimately, I'm interested in more than helping organizations perform better.
I'm interested in understanding what makes them healthy enough to sustain that performance—and what becomes possible when we begin building with that intention.
